I had a great time coming here and taking a minute to enjoy the air conditioning. They have around 3-4 tables for small parties and bar seating for individuals. There is also a coffee shop right next door so that you can take it to go. We were able to snag a seat and ordered the hojicha latte, black sesame latte, and the black sesame/cream cheese toast. I really enjoyed the iced black sesame latte and the toast. The hojicha was really good though! Their curry is apparently really good but we missed out as their fryer was down (and we had lunch before then). It was a cute spot to connect with friends or enjoy a book by yourself. Seats are limited but it didn't feel so crowded.

The honey lemon toast and hot matcha latte was delicious It was a great afternoon snack. The service was excellent! The ambiance is very pleasant and chill especially with the limited seating. Great music to listen to as well!

Really cute, tucked in place with a small amt. of seating. We came in around 1PM on a Friday and waited 30min. for a seat to open up. Maybe it's because everyone gad the day off the day after July 4? -- not sure! We had the uni spaghetti, partner had katsu curry, and matcha yuzu lemonade. Both of us felt both dishes were really delicious & would recommend. The uni pasta had a lighter seafood taste, which I like, and the katsu curry was sweet & soupier than other curries I get -- which was super yummy. The katsu was nice and tender too. Super cute cafe, intimate, lots of light, lovely place to chat with loved ones.

4/4.5 Very cute cafe/space! It's small but charming. The food here is good! Got the mentai pasta, karrage, and black sesame/cream toast. I wasn't sure what to expect for the toast but it was actually yum! Not really sweet. Karrage was good chicken and pasta was good pasta. Came at 12pm on a Sat and waited for 30-40 min. Reasonable prices. Would recommend for dates with cute friends. I think this would also be a cute spot for a regular date too. Cozy vibes.

very cute and aesthetic spot !! came here alone around 12:45 on a weekday and there was plenty of open seating at the bar and an open table food is quite yummy but on the pricier side for what it's worth, but nonetheless i dont regret giving this place a try !! i got the chicken katsu don -- chicken was nice and crispy and the flavour overall was there but the rice was mushy which threw things off. the dish was super super filling , more than what the photos on here let on !! matcha latte -- standard average matcha, not the richest or smoothest and i wish it had a stronger matcha flavour, but at least it doesnt taste like straight milk i dont ever leave yelp reviews but i had to, service is EASILY 5 stars !! the workers were young, super chatty and friendly and attentive, and on my way out when noel (?) asked me how my matcha was and i said i expected it to be richer, he added in a second shot of matcha free of charge. i wish i tipped more !! i also got half of a black sesame cream cheese toast on the house -- so so yummy and a pleasant blend of flavours !! i dont think i would pay the full price for it though

Really cute Japanese cafe. The weather was nice so we opted to sit outside which was beautiful and peaceful. However sitting next to the trash was smelly so we moved tables before it filled up! No wait on a Saturday afternoon around 2-3pm. We enjoyed the matcha and sesame lattes. I really liked the uni pasta and my partner liked the curry (it was a bit too sweet for my taste) but wished he had ordered the katsu instead of the karaage. The toast breads felt a little stale and plain. I'm not sure if the bread was toasted and buttered but it would be better if it were (or had more butter..?) I would definitely come back to try the other Japanese dishes that not many places sell! This place feels like a little cafe in Tokyo in the best way possible.

Davelle's aesthetics, food and lattes are all legit. You know this place is authentic when you heard the staff speak in Japanese. I rmb the wait was insane (1hr+) even on a weekday a year ago, but now the hype finally dies down. Also we loved our conversation with their cheerful server. * Berry and Cream Cheese Toast Strawberry jam and cream cheese slathered on shokupan milk bread like a checkerboard, adding vibrant colors to the toast. When I cut the toast, I could literally feel the fluffiness. The sweet and sour jam was very enjoyable. * Mentaiko Pasta Topped with a scoop of cod roe and fragrant shiso leaves, the pasta were tossed in a creamy mentaiko sauce. I always wanted to try sth new on their menu but ended up getting this pasta again and again. We didn't order their drinks this time, but don't sleep on their Black Sesame Latte and Matcha Latte. They are both very rich. My mom still ranked their black sesame latte as the best one she has had in NYC.

Oh I really loved this! But! To have a nice time, I think it's all about timing here cause it's a small space and even the waitresses couldn't fit (haha they were carrying food and drinks from the to go front next door in such cold weather! I felt so bad!) We had to take the car out on a cold weekday due to street cleaning - hate to say it as to possibly showing up and finding it crowded - but this is probably the best time to go. Also since it was just me and my partner, it was much much easier to relax and take a beat rather than rushing through. Food wise, try all the hits! - honey lemon toast - black sesame latte - hoji cha latte - uni pasta - spicy tuna pasta I think the black sesame latte was a little too sweet for me and the uni pasta could have had more uni at this price. But I can't find anything like this in NYC. The taste of the pastas are so good - I'm tempted to take my frozen ramen and attempt to make it because they make it look so easy but it's so far from the case. Each dish feels so special! Everything is plated so well too! Also you got to try the Hoji cha latte - wow I really loved this!
